On September 7th, a magnitude 8.2 earthquake struck the southern part of Mexico; twelve days later another earthquake of 7.1 magnitude shook Mexico City and its surrounding areas. These two powerful earthquakes killed hundreds, toppled buildings and destroyed communities.

We want to support reconstruction efforts by raising $20,000 through this event and art raffle. We’ve collected over a hundred works of art generously donated by an amazing group of artists (see list below). These artworks will be on display and raffled at 8 pm on November 4 at The Cooper Union School of Art.

To participate in the raffle and receive an artwork donate $200 (two hundred) or more through this page. (Your donation is your ticket to the raffle and entrance to the event. The raffle will follow the donation order listed here starting with the first donor).

To join us during this event contribute $25 and receive a limited edition letterpress poster.

This event is organized by Alumni of The Cooper Union School of Art: Alva Mooses, Mauricio Cortes & Felipe Baeza in collaboration with The Mexican Cultural Institute in NY & Bruxo Mezcal.
